Missionary Chronicles: Tag In A Treadmill
Hola a todos!
How was everyone's week? I hope it was awesome and full of miracles each day! This week was really crazy here I Georgia and I'm excited to fill y'all in about it!
Are friends are finally starting to get out of quarantine so we had a couple of awesome lessons this week! We had a lesson with our friend Carolina last Monday and it went super well! We taught her about the Plan of Salvation and she loved it! Andrelise (her member friend) shared some amazing thoughts and really made the lesson an amazing experience for all of us! Teaching with members is just the way to do it!! Unfortunately our friend Diana us still in quarantine until next week but we did have an incredible lesson with her over zoom this week! We taught her the Restoration and let me tell y'all...she's so prepared!! Part way though the lesson she stood up to grab her copy of the Book of Mormon and proceeded to tell us how she read the introduction and all of the testimonies in the front. She was basically testifying to us of how she knows it's true and it was a really powerful experience for everyone! We invited Diana to watch a baptismal service this weekend and she joined over zoom and she also joined our Sacrement Meeting over zoom! She's so incredible! Please keep her in your prayers! I think we're going to try and put her on date this week!
Speaking about the baptismal service, I had a really cool experience that I'd like to share. So the baptism was for someone the Stone Mountain Elders had taught named Oscar. They Elders called us last week and asked if I'd be willing to play guitar at the baptism (making this the 5th baptism I've played at haha). Of course I said yes, because playing at baptisms is actually something I really love doing! After the baptism Oscar came up to me with tears in his eyes and thanked me for playing the guitar at his baptism. He then told me that as a little kid in Mexico he remembers his Grandpa playing Spanish Worship music on the guitar. He remembers the powerful feelings he had as his grandpa played, feelings that he now knows is the Holy Ghost. Oscar said that as I played he felt those same feelings and it reminded him of his grandpa and his times in Mexico. Experiences like this are big testimony builders for me. I love being able to us my music to bless and uplift those around me.
This week was full of awesome spiritual experiences and I'm so grateful for this time I have to be in the service of the Lord! There is no better work in the world!
Ok, so now for the email title. Y'all, I haven't laughed this hard in a while lol. We were in the gum working out on Wednesday and Hermana Broederlow was running on the treadmill. She went to take off her sweatshirt while running and her tag fell off. Because the treadmill was running the magnet, clip, and tag itself all flew in different directions. We found the magnet and the clip but we couldn't find her actual tag. After about 20 minutes of looking through the whole gym, Sister Broederlow had a feeling her tag was stuck inside the treadmill. This made no physical sense because the tag would have been shot the opposite direction that the treadmill was running. Sure enough, the tag was actually in the treadmill. We're still not sure how that happened, but it just goes back to following promptings no matter how weird they are lol.
So yeah, that was the week. I hope that everyone has a great upcoming week! Remember to read your scriptures and say your prayers! Love y'all!!
