Hola a todos!!!  How is everyone doing? Anything crazy happening to anyone? This week we have two birthday shout outs!! My dad and my cousin Kolter both had birthdays on the 20th!! Happy birthday guys! I love you both so much! As you can tell from the email title, I have big news!! drum roll please....I FLY TO GEORGIA IN 5 DAYS!!! I am so excited to get to my missions and start working! I feel ready and I couldn't be more excited to just start serving! My time in the CCM has been so amazing! I have learned so much from the missionaries in my district and from my instructors. It's going to be a really hard good-bye, but I know that I  have made 12 new life-long friends through my time in the MTC! As my time in the MTC has begun to wind down, I have taken the opportunity to think back to when I first started and how much I have grown since then. I want to share an excerpt from my journal on 1/21/2021 (First day of real MTC). "Today was my first real day of MTC, and it ...

Hola a todos!!  How was everyone's week? I hope it was great and everyone was able to see God's hand! We had three birthdays this week!! Happy Birthday to my cousins Hunter Dryden and Carolyn Hall as well as my uncle Aaron! Happy birthday  guys! Love and miss you!! This week has been pretty crazy haha. We have started this thing that my teachers call "Todo Espanol" (all spanish). This basically means every devotional, answer to question, thought in class, everything has to be in Spanish. I have noticed that some of my district, myself included, have become more reluctant to share in class haha. I am getting better though and my understanding of the language increases every day! My speaking is still slow in coming, but it is improving!  We have started doing a lot more TRC's and I am really starting to see the benefits! This week, Hermana Tesimale and I were teaching a lesson sobre el Evengelio de Jesuscristo (About the gospel of Jesus Christ). At the e...

Hola a todos!!    How has everyone's week? I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy! We had another birthday in my family this week!! Happy birthday to my aunt she-she (Ashley)!! Love you she-she!!    This week was great! Things are starting to get real,as I only have 2 1/2 weeks until I leave for Georgia!!! I couldn't be more excited to just get out and work! I am starting to understand more of the language! When people talk to me in lessons, I'm normally able to make out most of what they are saying, however speaking is still coming slow lol. I have been doing a lot of work this week planning and making lesson plans for TRC's and our mock-teachings with our instructors. Let me tell you writing lesson plans in Spanish is not easy. I have had to really simplify my thoughts because I don't know how to say most of what I want to. I have really had to listen to the spirit during lessons and take the discussion where he needs it.    I spoke in Sta...

Welcome To The GANM! One Month Away!

Dear Incoming Missionary,      Welcome to the Georgia Atlanta North Mission! We are thrilled you will soon be joining  us in this beautiful part of the Lord’s vineyard. Our mission area begins 12 miles north of  Atlanta and stretches to just north of the Georgia/North Carolina border. Georgia has a  deep Christian tradition and the people here are generally friendly and kind.      It is a wonderful time to be one of Jesus Christ’s representatives in the world. We are  enlisted, as you were recently told by President Nelson, in “the greatest challenge, the  greatest cause, and the greatest work on earth.” He further noted that our young  missionaries “were sent to earth at this precise time, the most crucial time in the history  of the world, to help gather Israel. There is nothing happening on this earth right now  that is more important than that. There is nothing of greater consequence. Absolutely  nothing...Th...

Hola todos!!    How was everyone's week? I hope it was amazing and you could all see the hand of God in your lives! We've had a couple birthdays in my family, so I wanted to give a shout-out to my Aunt Marni and my cousin Ben!!! Happy Birthday guys!!    This week was really good! We started doing these things called TRCs. Basically, what they are is an opportunity for us missionaries to practice teaching the gospel entirely in Spanish. They put each companionship in a zoom room with somebody from Mexico and we are told to share a gospel message with them. In total I have done 5 of these TRCs and let me tell ya the first couple seconds after the people join the zoom room are some of the most terrifying moments ever haha. However, my companion and I are getting a lot better with these appointments. Yesturday, we were able to communicate very smoothly and the Spirit was really strong in the lesson! Tomorrow, we have our first real teaching appointment. We...
