COVID Missionary Chronicles: "Sometimes It Takes A Bit Of Tastin' Dirt To Get Back In The Saddle And Understand Hard Work"

¡Hola a todos! I hope everyone had a great week! Anything crazy going on back home? Fill me in haha. As far as birthdays go this week, we have two! My uncle David had a birthday and my best friend, Dakota Birch has a birthday TODAY!! Happy birthday to both of y'all! I hope it was amazing! From the title of my email, you may be able to guess that this week was somewhat difficult. Not every week is going to be picture perfect, and the Lord definitely reminded us of that this week.  We had a whole bunch of lessons scheduled for this week and all of them canceled except for Rosa. Rosa's lesson went super well though! We taught her about temples and family history. She was super into the idea that her relatives who are already in the Spirit World can have the chance to hear the gospel. She is learning so much about the gospel and I love getting to work with her. We also did some service this week to fill all of our lost lesson time. We went over to help the Waits family prepare to p...

¡Hola a todos! Cómo están? I hope everyone had a great week and you saw the tender mercies from God. This week was super interesting and I'm excited to fill y'all in, but first...the shout-outs.  My cousin Brynna has a birthday today!! Along with that, I also got news that my cousin Kolter is engaged!! A huge congratulations to Kolter and Nicole! Ok, so for starters we had Zone Conference this week. Zone Conference is one of my favorite events of every transfer! I got to see Hermana Grover again and I was also asked to play a special musical number! The topic of Zone Conference was the Book of Mormon and how we can better use it to our advantage as missionaries. We got a lot of good advice from President Harris and as we've applied it, we've seen miracles. Hermana Lambert and I were blessed with the opportunity to place a Book of Mormon in the hands of 9 of God's children here in Georgia this week! We are definitely being led by the Spirit to those who are prepared...

¡Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? We have a couple of shout-outs this week. My aunt Amber and cousin Hiram both had birthdays this week!! Happy birthday guys!! Also, one of my really good friends got sealed to her husband this weekend!! A big congratulations to Ben and Emily Skousen!! Alright y'all this week was an interesting one. We didn't really teach and we only handed out one copy of the Book of Mormon, but the Lord needed us elsewhere this week.  On Tuesday we had exchanges and I was paired with Sister Porter! Seriously the best lol! I love her so much and it was a huge blessing to get to spend the day working with her. While we were together we taught a lesson to a girl named Chanel (who actually happens to be friends with McKinley Homan, so I got to see her again). The lesson went super well! We taught about repentance and how repentance and forgiveness is a positive thing and a gift from God. Also while we were on exchanges I met a lady named Eleanor...here...

COVID Missionary Chronicles: Trust The Lord's Timing

¡Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? I hope it was amazing and you were able to count your blessings. I wanted to take a moment and say a quick CONGRATULATIONS to all my friends who graduated this past week! Whether y'all are off on Missions or off to school, you're going to do amazing things!! This week was pretty crazy here in the GANM. Let's just say President Harris has a lot of faith in his missionaries haha. Let's get into it... For starters, English class went great this week! We had 6 people there which is a huge improvement from how it's been the past few weeks. One guy in particular (who's name is Hugo) caught our attention super quickly. This was his second time coming to English Class and he came prepared with a few questions about the Book of Mormon! We were able to answer some of them during the spiritual thought and afterward he said he wanted to learn more about it! A HUGE MIRACLE!! We have been in contact with him to try and set up a less...
