Image
Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? I hope it was awesome and filled with some amazing memories! It's getting pretty hot down here so I hope all of my Utah friends and family are enjoying one semi-cooler weather haha. This week was an awesome one! I saw so many miracles and so felt the love of my Savior so strong all the time! On Friday, I had the amazing opportunity to be in the temple with Sammy and Yimmy for the first time! It was incredible to be in the temple with these people who I love so much! Sammy and Yimmy have really changed me as a person and I'm so excited to have them in my life forever! Sammy also gave her first talk in church yesterday so it was a huge weekend for them! We taught an awesome lesson to our friend Luis on Saturday afternoon! He's someone who we have been teaching from English Class and he's so awesome! We've been talking to him a lot about baptism recently and we can definitely tell that it's on his mind a lot. He's Cath...

Hola a todos! How are y'all doing? How was this week? I hope it was amazing and that your days we're blessed with miracles! This week was really awesome here! We've been seeking and expect miracles and they've been pouring in! This week we had exchanges with the Sisters and I stayed here in Magnolia with Sister Tingey! She's the cutest and we had such a fun time together! As y'all know, as a TL I get to work with all kids of missionaries young and old haha. Sister Tingey has been on her mission for about 4 weeks so this was her first exchange. I made sure to show her how much fun missionary work can be when you work as hard as you can! We found two new people together and it was great! Here's one really amazing story that happend to us on exchanges... Last week Hermana Nava and I were knocking in the Trailer Park and we felt impressed to knock this one trailer. We met a lady named Tatiana and she told us to come back the following week, which happened to be ...

Missionary Chronicles: Cat Finding

Hola a todos! How was this past week for y'all? I hope you were able to see the hand of the Lord in everything! He's always there!! This week was an awesome one here! We really attacked finding and saw the fruits of our labors here in this area! The good news is that I'm not on crutches anymore! After a trip to urgent care and some x-rays we found out that there was no fracture in my ankle which was honestly the best news we got this week haha. After that good news we've been walking everywhere and talking to everyone we can see! In total we found 6 new people this week! Here are a couple cool finding experiences we've had... We met this lady named Isela while doing some work in the trailer park. We saw her walk into her house so we went and knocked on her door. She was a little hesitant at first but eventually she opened up to us and we had a lesson right there with her on her front porch. There is something about being in a trailer park sweating buckets and gettin...

Missionary Chronicles: Watch Your Step

Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? I hope y'all were able to see the hand of the Lord in everything! This week didn't really go as planned but aquí nomás haha. We had a curveball thrown at us on Tuesday night that forced us to rethink the way we do our missionary work. We were out doing some visits after a meeting on Tuesday night and it was getting dark. The apartment complex we were in isn't kept up very well so the pavement is suoer uneven. While walking down some stone stairs I took a weird step and sprained my ankle (we hope) pretty badly. I've got crutches now and a few wraps and a brace but we're still going!! I was talking with President Harris on Thursday and I asked him if he'd ever seen a missionary tracting on crutches and he said he hadn't... I told him to be on the look out for pictures this week haha. Even though we had to take a step back to a couple days we still saw so many miracles this week! We had an impromptu lesson with a coupl...

Missionary Chronicles: Spiritual Promptings -> Eternal Blessings

Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? We've been talking a lot in our mission about miracles, so my mind has been heightened on the miracles I see throughout each day! Hopefully y'all gave bene able to notice them as well! This week was an amazing start to the transfer to say the least! My new companion, Hermana Nava, is absolutely amazing! Not only is she seriously helping with my Spanish but her conversion story (she's only been a member 3 years) and her testimony is unlike any other! We've worked so hard this week to the point where we were literally burned out last night! We were beyond exhausted but beyond joyful as well! Another amazing thing about Hermana Nava is her persistentence! She's been going through it health wise lately! Last transfer she was diagnosed with COVID-induced Asthma and has been super sick recently. That's not stopping her though! We went to the doctor on Wednesday hoping for some answers on the other health problems she's go...
