Missionary Chronicles: Temple With Sammy And Yimmy
Hola a todos!
How was everyone's week? I hope it was awesome and filled with some amazing memories! It's getting pretty hot down here so I hope all of my Utah friends and family are enjoying one semi-cooler weather haha.
This week was an awesome one! I saw so many miracles and so felt the love of my Savior so strong all the time!
On Friday, I had the amazing opportunity to be in the temple with Sammy and Yimmy for the first time! It was incredible to be in the temple with these people who I love so much! Sammy and Yimmy have really changed me as a person and I'm so excited to have them in my life forever! Sammy also gave her first talk in church yesterday so it was a huge weekend for them!
We taught an awesome lesson to our friend Luis on Saturday afternoon! He's someone who we have been teaching from English Class and he's so awesome! We've been talking to him a lot about baptism recently and we can definitely tell that it's on his mind a lot. He's Catholic though, so he's kind of afraid to make that change and he's afraid of what his friends and family will think of him. He came to church for the first time yesterday and he loved it! The members here in Magnolia are amazing and they all rallied around him! Please keep Luis in your prayers this week that he'll find the courage that he needs to change his life.
I know I'm not great at giving updates about how my Spanish is going haha. It's just kind of become part of my everyday life and I forget that it's something new that y'all might want to know about haha. My Spanish is getting better everyday and I've learned to love this language literally with all that I have! I actually saw a big miracle with my Spanish just yesterday. We were sitting in church getting ready for the meeting to start and our bishop comes up to me and says "Hermana, I don't know if the speakers we have will take the whole meeting. If we have tike left you're up". He didn't give me a topic or anything, just told me I had to speak if there was still time left. The whole Sacrement Meeting I was listening to the speakers trying to pick up on a topic that was related that I could share just in case and sure enough, there was extra time haha. For the first time I my whole mission, I gave an entire 10 minute talk with zero notes or anything. Let's just say I'm thankful for my marked scriptures because I was able to quickly pull out scriptures on the spot to use and talk about! The Gift of Tongues is real!
We'll y'all, that's all I've got for this week! I hope this next one is great for y'all! Thanks for your continued love and support! Love y'all mucho!!
Hermana Adams
