Missionary Chronicles: Rainbow After The Storm

¡Hola a todos! I hope y'all had a great week! Our birthday shout-out this week goes to Sister Caceres!! I love you so much! I hope your birthday was a amazing!! This week was definitely a slower one for us. We spent most of our time knocking on the doors of our grey dots, and it wasn't as successful this week. We're trying to find other creative ways to go about our finding, but it's proving to be a little difficult. Finding in an English area is way different than my previous Spanish areas, so I'm having to start over from square one when it comes to finding.  We were able to teach two lessons this week though! Our first lesson was with Angie, our recent convert. We've started doing the new-member lessons with her and they're going very well. For those of you who don't know, when you begin the new-member lessons we try and have the ministering Brother and Sister lead them because we as missionaries are trying to pass the investigator over to the ward. Missionary Chronicles: Knock, Knock, Knock

¡Hola a todos!  How was this week? I hope it went well for y'all and you saw the Lord's Hand everyday! My week was full of new adventures and I'm excited to fill y'all in! First we have a birthday shout-out for my cousin Sam! Happy Birthday!! I hope it was a great one! It's been a great first week here in the Paper Mill Ward! This probably sounds so dumb, but learning to do missionary work in English has been quite the adventure for me this week haha. English is my first language, but I've never taught the gospel in English so I'm having to re-learn it and it's made for some very laughable moments this week.  This new area is really cool and we've got some amazing people who we're working with. First off, we have Anglea (Sister Smith). She was just baptized 15 days and she is one of the sweetest souls I've ever met! Her conversion story is a powerful one and I feel so blessed to have the chance to work with her and help her solidify her testi...

Missionary Chronicles: I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go

¡Hola a todos! I've got an interesting email for y'all this week, so we'll see how this goes. We don't have any shout-outs this week, but I just want to say good luck to anyone who is starting school soon! I guess I'll just start with my news. As y'all know we have transfers this Tuesday. We got our transfer call last night and I found out that I am being transferred to an English Area. My new area will be in the Paper Mill Ward in Roswell Zone and my new companion will be Sister Christman. Obviously there are a lot of feelings going on. I totally was not expecting to be switched English and I definitely wasn't expecting to be 6 week shafted out of Cherokee. These past 6 weeks here in Cherokee have been amazing! In just this short amount of time, I've learned to love this branch and the people soo much! I have loved every second I've spent working with Sister Crow! She has taught me so much and has gotten me through these past couple of weeks! I have...

¡Hola a todos! I hope y'all had a fantastic week filled with miracles and tender mercies! We stayed super busy here, and I'm excited to fill y'all in! But first, we have a couple shout-outs! My cousin Emmersyn had a birthday and my Aunt Ashley and Uncle Sergio welcomed another beautiful baby boy into the world! Happy birthday to Emmersyn and a big congratulations to the Aguilar Family! Alright y'all, this week was super busy which was exactly what I needed! We had two lessons with Lee this week and both of them went great! The first lesson with her we just went over again the Book of Mormon and the importance of studying it daily. And then yesterday, we taught Lee the first half of the Plan of Salvation. She is progressing super well and we are so excited to see what Heavenly Father has planned for her! If y'all are looking for someone to pray for this week, I would love if you could pray for Lee. We are hoping to try and put her on date to be baptized before the en...

Missionary Chronicles: La Misionera De Miami??

¡Hola a todos! How was this week for y'all? I hope you were able to see the small miracles everyday. We have two birthday shout-outs this week! The first goes to my trainer Herrrmana Grover and the second goes to my girl Emily Skousen!! Happy birthday to both of y'all!! I know I said my Pday was going to be switched this week, but they moved it to next week. So next week you'll get my email on Tuesday.  This week was kind of all over the place. We had a bunch going on and we stayed pretty busy which was good.  On Monday and Tuesday we had exchanges. Exchanges are always an adventure and this time around was  no different. I was paired with Sister Leonard and we stayed here in the Spanish area. The only problem is that Sister Leonard does not speak spanish lol. However, this opened the door for me to see a pretty mighty miracle on Monday night. We had accidentally planned a Spanish lesson on the night of our exchanges. Hermana Crow asked if I wanted to move it and then sai...
