Image
¡Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? I hope it was amazing! Birthday shout-outs for today go to my uncles Jamie and Eric! Happy Birthday!! Alright y'all this week was spent mostly adjusting and getting going with this new transfer, but it was still pretty good! My new companion's name is Hermana Lambert. She's from Concord, California and has been out on her mission for 7 months. She's cool and she has a really powerful testimony! Sister Abbot also went home, so we welcomed another new Sister into the apartment as well. Her name is Sister Porter and she's from Eagle Mountain, Utah. She is hilarious and she's always in a good mood which makes life super fun! As far as teaching went this week it was super slow lol. At the beginning of the week we had a bunch of lessons scheduled to open up the transfer but they all ended up canceling on us haha. Until Saturday night... Quick story, so a few weeks ago Hermana Hermana Grover and I were going through our area ...

¡Hola a todos! How are y'all doing? I hope everyone had a good week and found something to be happy about! We have two birthday shout-outs this week! My cousin Kendyl and my beautiful mama both had birthdays this week! Happy birthday to both of y'all! I love you guys! This week was a good one. We stayed pretty busy and got a lot of work done, which is awesome!  For starters, we had a pretty awesome Pday last week. From what I understood, it was historic as well lol. We had our first ever GANM Mission Pday! All 204 missionaries all gathered in Lilburn and we had a huge pday all together! It was way cool! We spent the day split into districts, playing games and doing other competitions against the other districts. It was super fun! At the end of the day, we had a devotional from President and Sister Harris. I really enjoyed the day and it was awesome seeing a gym full of missionaries all working toward the same goal. On Wednesday we went and did service at Emili's. She's ...

¡Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? I hope it was great one for y'all and that you saw the hand of God! We have a birthday today!! My cousin Anderson turns 9 today!! Happy Birthday buddy!! I love and miss you so much!! This week was a great one! We got to talk to a lot of cool people and we did a lot of service as well. Here's how it went.. On Thursday we went back up to Blairsville again for District Council. I literally can't get enough of that area. It is one of the most beautiful places ever. Anyways, after District Council we went at got lunch at Jim's BBQ (because you can't drive through Blairsville and not stop there). After we finished eating, the Blairsville Elders said they wanted to take all of us to go and meet one of their investigators. Her name is Ms. Joy and she very well might be the cutest old lady in northern Georgia. First off, she lives in one of the prettiest places ever. As we were driving up there, all we saw was green hills and Mount...

COVID Missionary Chronicles: Who Said Missionary Work Wasn't A Party?

Image
¡Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? Is anything cool happening for y'all? This week was a party lol so I'm excited to fill you in, but first we have a birthday!! Today is Sister Bartletts birthday!!! Happiest of birthdays to Sister Bartlett! I love and miss you so much! Alright, so as you can tell from the email title, this week was a party haha. It was so much fun and I found a lot of joy in the work.  On Tuesday, I experienced my first "GANM lock-down" which is what it's loving referred to. Basically the weather throughout the mission was so bad that President told us all to stay home unless absolutely necessary. It was definitely an experience haha but we got a lot of area Book contacting done as well as some planning, because balancing the work for the Branch and the Coal Mountain ward has been a challenge but the good news is that we've found a rythm.  We also had Zone Conference this week! It was so amazing!! Because of the weather on Tuesday the...

¡Hola a todos! How was everyone's week? I hope that it was amazing and that you all witnessed miracles!! We have three birthday shout-outs this week!! We have my cousin Taylor, my Sister Jordyn, and my OG college roommate Emma!!! Happy birthday to y'all! I hope it was amazing!! Alright everybody this week was wild to say the least haha. Hopefully this email dosen't end up too long...I will try my best. So for starters, we finally had a lesson this week!! After four weeks of not meeting, we finally met with Rosa again! It was so awesome to connect again and to feel of her sweet spirit! There is something special about sitting at the Round Table in the Hilton's house and teaching this sweet lady. We kind of did a recap of all that we've taught so far because it's been forever since we met. She was super open with us and we had a great discussion. We also got a new referral this week! This isn't a rare thing, but it is rare when they actually want to meet with ...
