Missionary Chronicles: Cat Finding

Hola a todos!

How was this past week for y'all? I hope you were able to see the hand of the Lord in everything! He's always there!! This week was an awesome one here! We really attacked finding and saw the fruits of our labors here in this area!

The good news is that I'm not on crutches anymore! After a trip to urgent care and some x-rays we found out that there was no fracture in my ankle which was honestly the best news we got this week haha. After that good news we've been walking everywhere and talking to everyone we can see! In total we found 6 new people this week! Here are a couple cool finding experiences we've had...

We met this lady named Isela while doing some work in the trailer park. We saw her walk into her house so we went and knocked on her door. She was a little hesitant at first but eventually she opened up to us and we had a lesson right there with her on her front porch. There is something about being in a trailer park sweating buckets and getting bit by mosquitoes that is just the best thing ever! Seriously, those are the moments I'm going to miss the most!

That same day while we were in the trailer park we were walking and we found this kitten. Now, it's always hit or miss if the animals we find in the trailer parks are going to be nice or not lol. I've had too many bad experiences but occasionally you find that super sweet kitten haha. This was one of those occasions, this cat started following us and he actually followed us for like 20 minutes lol. We named him nacho and he actually was a great conversation starter. Whenever we'd stop and talk to someone he'd sit at our feet and wait for us to finish and then continue walking with us! Thanks to nacho we got the phone numbers for a bunch of different people!

Other than tons of finding, we've been pretty busy getting all of this immigration stuff sorted out for me companion. However, we've finally got it all figured out and we're all super relieved! We also got a brand new car (Toyota Rav 4) this week which was a very nice surprise!

A quick update on Amara, we had to take her off date. We haven't been able to meet with her because they've been sick. Her baptism was supposed to be there weekend but we'll have to push it back. Please keep them in your prayers cause the adversary is working super hard on them! I know that they'll be baptized, it's just a matter of time!

Alright y'all, that's all I've got for this week! I hope y'all have an awesome week and that the Lord showers y'all with blessings! Let me know if y'all need any extra prayers this week! Love y'all mucho!
