Missionary Chronicles: Watch Your Step

Hola a todos!

How was everyone's week? I hope y'all were able to see the hand of the Lord in everything!

This week didn't really go as planned but aquí nomás haha. We had a curveball thrown at us on Tuesday night that forced us to rethink the way we do our missionary work. We were out doing some visits after a meeting on Tuesday night and it was getting dark. The apartment complex we were in isn't kept up very well so the pavement is suoer uneven. While walking down some stone stairs I took a weird step and sprained my ankle (we hope) pretty badly. I've got crutches now and a few wraps and a brace but we're still going!! I was talking with President Harris on Thursday and I asked him if he'd ever seen a missionary tracting on crutches and he said he hadn't... I told him to be on the look out for pictures this week haha.

Even though we had to take a step back to a couple days we still saw so many miracles this week! We had an impromptu lesson with a couple last night who have been inactive members since COVID. They've been super closed off to the missionaries for a long time but last night we felt like we needed to stop by and visit them! We went and knocked on the door and the let us in. Perhaps it was because I was on crutches, but what's important is that they actually let us in haha. We talked to them for a while about faith and where their faith is right now. They asked us to help them get back close to God!! A huge miracle!!

We've been doing a lot of member work lately because Hermana Nava and I are trying to help strengthen the Relief Society. It's a big task because majority of our Relief Society is really inactive. We've had some really cool experiences though and we've got to work with and meet some amazing people!

We're still struggling to find someone who can drive Amara and Carlos to church. It looks like we're coming closer though so hopefully we can find someone who can help us out! Please keep that in your prayers this week!!

Alright y'all, that's all I've got for this week! Sorry for the shorter email, next week will be better haha! Remember to pray for miracles! Love y'all!!
