Missionary Chronicles: We Hit The Jackpot
Hola a todos!
I hope y'all have had a great week! Sorry my email schedule has been so wack lately lol. It'll be back to Monday starting next week.
This past week and a half has been crazy! We've been kept super busy with TL stuff and just missionary work in general. We got to go to the Temple this morning which was so awesome! Being in the temple always brings so much peace and comfort!
We did a while lot of finding this past week and we had a huge answer to prayers! During my whole mission I've been in areas where teaching is kind of slow and we find ALL THE TIME! At times it's kind of annoying because I just want to teach, but when we have good weeks like this one it makes up all the difference. On Monday, Hermana Broederlow had a prompting to go and visit this one specific dot I our area book. We had no idea why but we went anyway. Come to find out that this person lives in an ENTIRELY Latino neighborhood!! Y'all it's like another México! We spent about an hour knocking doors in this one part of the street and we had 6 return appointments and we're now teaching 2 new people on that street!! We are so excited and feel so blessed to gave found such amazing people! The two ladies we're teaching now are named Diana and Johanna. They both seem super cool and they have a ton of potential! We are super excited to keep working in this new area! And for those of you wondering...yes we did come up with a name for this awesome place! After a lot of thought, we have decided on calling it Chile! So now we have Chile and México hahah.
We had Zone Conference this past week as well! I always love Zone Conference and the opportunity it presents for me to train and also to learn from the other missionaries and of course President and Sister Harris. This transfer, us as Zone Leadership decided to train our missionaries on the power and authority we have with our calling. It was actually one of the coolest trainings I've ever been apart of. As I did my preparation to train our missionaries I was studying in Chapter 1 of Preach My Gospel and it really reminded me of how special this opportunity is to serve a mission. I'm honeslty sad that I only get 18 months with this tag on. There is no work in this entire world that is more important than the work of Salvation and I'm so glad that I get to have a part in it!
I hope this next week is a great one for y'all! I'm super thankful for all of your continued love and support! Let me know if y'all need prayers for anything! Love y'all!!
Hermana Adams
