Missionary Chronicles: The Hunt For The GANM Trove
Hola a todos!
I hope you all had fantastic weeks full of everyday miracles and happy moments! This week was super busy and we did a lot of amazing work!
We did our first round of exchanges this week with the Milton/Web Bridge Sisters. Doing exchanges is one of my favorite parts about being a TL because I love getting to know these amazing missionaries I'm serving around. I stayed here in the area with Hermana McBlain and we brought Sister Bulkley here with us. Sister Bulkley has only been out for about 4 weeks so she has such a fire about her and she loves being a missionary!
While we were on exchanges we taught Sammy and Yimmy again. On the particular day, Sammy had had a terrible day with the kids. She was stressed and overwhelmed and when we got there she just cried. We were able to comfort her and entertain her kids so Sammy could have a bit of a break. When Yimmy got home we taught them the Plan of Salvation again and they absolutely loved it! They are progressing so well and they're just so excited to enter the Waters of Baptism on March 13th.
We finally had a lesson with Tatiana and Antonella on Friday and it went pretty well. We talked with Tatiana about her baptismal date and together, we decided it'd be best to move it. We have some things we're still trying to work through with her but we have faith that she'll be ready. Her new date is March 26th.
We've been working with this one in-active family as well that has a couple of un-baptized kids and adults in the household. We've been trying to build trust and a strong relationship with them and this week we found a new way in haha. They youngest son, Michaelito, is taking a guitar class in school and has kind of been struggling because they can't afford private lessons for him right now. So, now we go over once a week and I teach Michaelito guitar for a little bit and then we share a spiritual thought with the rest of the family! It's been a pretty awesome experience so far and it's helping us to strengthen that relationship!
Last Pday we went on a hike with the District and it was pretty fun! We went on a "treasure hunt" for the GANM Trove (a treasure) lol. President Harris has created a Google Drive full of all kinds of talks and helpful information for us missionaries and he's called it the GANM Trove. So, on our hike we had to go on our on treasure hunt for it haha. It was a fun experience for sure!
Alright y'all, that's all I've got for this week! I hope you have an amazing next week and see the small miracles in everyday! If you're in need of any prayers, please shoot me an email! I love y'all!
