Missionary Chronicles: Sunsets And New Trailer Parks
Hola a todos!
How are y'all doing? I hope y'all had a great week! We've been pretty busy here and I'm excited to fill y'all In!
We had 16 people come to our English Class on Tuesday which is a new record for my misison! It was so awesome!!
We did a lot of teaching this week and we had some pretty awesome experiences! On Friday night our Ward Mission Leader invited us over with a couple we're teaching named Jimmy and Sammy. I'm realizing now that I never told y'all about them haha. They are a young couple with two young kids. They recently moved here to the States and when they moved the bought the house of some members in our ward who were moving back to Chile. Well, these members left the house prepared with pictures of Jesus Christ all over, copies of the Book of Mormon on the living room table, Bible/Book of Mormon videos for the kids, and so much more. This made a huge impact on Sammy and Jimmy and they've been to church every Sunday since they moved in. They've been adopted by the members and it's been sometime amazing to witness.Well on Friday night, surrounded by some of their member friends, we invited Sammy and Jimmy to be baptized on March 12th and they accepted!! It was such a powerful experience and a huge testimony builder for me!
Tatiana and Antonella have been struggling this week and it's got us a little worried. Satan works hard on our investigators leading up to their baptisms and that's what's happening with Tatiana. If you feel so inclined, please keep them in your prayers this week. Please pray that they have the strength to withstand the influence of the adversary.
On Saturday night I was feeling kind of down, which I've learned means that I need to get out and work. I asked my comps if we could go and try a new trailer park I'd seen driving home one night. We drove over there and this trailer park is so awesome! From the road it looks pretty small, but it turns out it goes about a mile back into the woods! It's huge and so many people! We walked around most of the trailer park and talked to as many people as we could about our Englisb Class. The Sunset that night was so pretty and it was a huge blessing just to be out working.
Alright y'all, that's all I've got for this week! I'm super thankful for all of your continued support and love! I feel your prayers! Thanks y'all! Hope this next week is amazing! Love y'all!
