Missionary Chronicles: "The Temple Feels Like Home"

Hola a todos!

How was everyone's week? I hope y'all were able to see the hand of the Lord everyday! This week has been a busy one here in Georgia and we've been helping a TON of people!!

Our friends Gloria, Sammy, and Yimmy are all on track for their baptisms this weekend! We are so excited to help these people who we love so much take the first step back to their Savior! Please keep them in your prayers this week because Satan is going to be working hard!

We went down to Paper Mill (my English Area) to observe a District Council! It was so weird being back in an area I've already served in but with different companions lol. While we were down there, I knew we needed to make one special stop so we drove to the Terry's House and gave them the surprise of their lives lol. They were so surprised and so shocked to see me and I was equally as happy to see them! The Terry's took us out to lunch at one of the Brazilian Bakeries in Paper Mill and we had a great time with them visiting and catching up!

We had exchanges with the STLs this week and I got to work with Sister Bringhurst which was a blast. It was just her and I together which was actually really great for me. It gave me a chnace to lead out the area and to talk with Sister Bringhurst about all my feelings going into next transfer. I also had an amazing Gift of Tongues experience during the exchange! Sister Bringhurst doesn't speak Spanish and so our member meal/lesson was up to me haha. The Sister who fed us had only been a memorable for about a year and still has a whole bunch of questions! She kind of just dumped them all on me at once and she and I ended up talking for about an hour! It was super powerful and I was able to answer her questions and give my insights! Huge blessing!!

Yesterday we had a super special opportunity to walk the temple grounds with some investigators and returning members who are preparing to enter the temple. We had to get special permission from President because the temple is outside of the mission which made this even more of an amazing opportunity. We did a little "tour" with the ZLs around the temple and taught about the history of temples and the ordinances we perform inside. The Spirit is so strong every time we go to the Temple, but there was something even more powerful yesterday as we walked around with a group of people who all have their eyes locked on the temple. At the end of the activity we asked everyone what their thoughts and feelings were. One of the brothers we were with said "Me siento como en casa." which basically means, "It feels like I'm home". I loved the description this brother used to describe the way he was feeling. The temple offers us the choice opportunity to be as close to the Savior and our Heavenly Father as we can be. I invite each of y'all to have you "eyes locked on the temple" this week. That'll look different for each one of you, but I invite y'all to keep it in your sights because it truly is the House of the Lord upon the earth!

Alright y'all, that's all I've got for this week. I hope y'all have an great upcoming week and you recognize the voice of the Holy Ghost speaking to each of you! Thank you so much for the your continued support! I'll talk to y'all next week! Love y'all!
