Missionary Chronicles: The Call To Serve

Dear Sister Adams,

You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ if Latter-Day Saints.

You are assigned to labor in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission and will prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish language.

Good Morning Y'all, it's crazy to think that we're here. My mission has flown by WAY too fast! It so weird to look back because some of the days felt like the longest days of my life, but the weeks went by faster than I ever could've imagined! Coming out on my mission I feel like I had an idea of what to expect however, I also had no clue haha. My mission has been the happiest, and just as equally, the hardest experience of my life. I've been put through the refiners fire time and time again, but I'm thankful because it's allowed me to grow into who the Lord needs me to be.

I'm thankful for every experience I've had, the good and the bad. Each person I've contacted over the past 18 months has left an eternal impact on my life! Something that President Harris has stressed to me throughout my mission is that there is no such thing as a bad contact. Each time a person has contact with a set-apart missionary, their life will be changed. Knowing that definitely made it a lot easier to talk to everyone!

I know that the Book of Mormon is God's Word! Joseph Smith said "a man will draw nearer to God by abiding by its precepts". I testify if the truthfulness of that quote, I've seen it happen to me personally and in the lives of those who I've taught here in Georgia! The Book of Mormon is arguably the most powerful book on earth! Read it, and I promise your life will be changed forever!

I'm so thankful I answered the call to serve, to come to Georgia and represent the Savior in all things. I've learned more about him as I've walked beside him serving his children here! His sacrifice means everything to me! I find it hard to believe he would go through all of that for me, but I know and testify of his indescribable love for each and every one of us!

These past 18 months have been exactly what I've needed. I'm not the same missionary I was when my plane landed here in Georgia on March 1, 2021. Georgia will have a giant piece of my heart forever! This truly is "God's Country" The devil can't hang around down here!

Well y'all, that's all I've got! This has been a wild ride! Thanks for your continued love and support! Y'all got me though on the hardest days! Can't wait to see y'all soon!

Chao,
Hermana Adams
